Lemma

Good questions. Clearer answers.

What to know before starting your product passport and traceability journey.

What does Lemma actually do?

We help Indian brands map product supply chains, collect supplier evidence, structure product records and create QR-linked passports. We also support supplier follow-up, product claims and private buyer packs.

Do we need perfect data to start?

No. The first step is understanding what you already have and where the gaps are. A pilot can begin with a limited product scope, with unknown information clearly identified.

Is a product passport just a QR code?

The QR code is an access point. The value sits in the structured product record, supporting documents, traceability relationships and the decisions about who can see each piece of information.

Can we keep supplier documents private?

Yes. The passport scope can distinguish public product information from sensitive evidence intended for authorised buyers or auditors. What is published should be agreed with the brand.

Can Lemma certify that a product is organic or recycled?

Lemma helps organise and review the evidence behind claims. It does not replace a certification body, laboratory, legal advisor or independent auditor. Claims should only reflect the actual scope of their evidence.

Will a Lemma passport make us EU compliant?

A passport and structured data can support preparation, but compliance depends on product category, applicable requirements and the implementation. No generic passport should be treated as an automatic compliance guarantee.

Can we start with one product or collection?

Yes. A bounded pilot is a practical way to test product identity, supplier collection, evidence organisation and a public passport before extending the approach.

How is pricing decided?

Pricing is scoped to your products, supply chain depth, available records and the supplier follow-up required. An enquiry helps define the work and deliverables before a commercial proposal. There is no project commitment when you submit the form.

What would you like your product to prove?

Tell us about your products, supplier records and the questions your buyers ask. We’ll discuss what to collect, what is missing and a practical scope—before you commit to a project.
